I’m wondering how to abort an “arc diff” once the diff editor is opened. In my case, if I meant to do arc diff --create or I incorrectly specified the revisions to include in the diff. For mercurial if you submit an empty comment when doing a “histedit” or other actions it assumes you want to abort the action. Is there a similar way to abort an “arc diff”? Currently I’m resorting to using “kill -9” on the arc pid.
Submitting an empty file from the editor, or saving with some invalid fields (e.g., missing title) will let you abort the
arc diff flow.
You can also generally ^C after exiting the editor. Your message will be saved, but execution will abort if you’re quick enough.
