Proposed solution for T9044

I’m hitting the problem reported in T9044 and the discussion there suggest checking for .git/svn/metadata. I’m wondering whether checking the output of git config --get-regexp svn-remote would be better. I’ve made a patch to that effect and it works for me but haven’t tested it yet against an installation with active git-svn. Can someone bring this suggestion to the attention of the developers? I don’t have an account on

Note: Signing a CLA should be possible for my employer if necessary.

Best regards,

Thanks, I’ve noted your suggestion in the upstream.

It doesn’t look like we’re short on ideas on how to fix it, but it’s not high priority, and it might be a little hard to check that we don’t break actual git-svn use-cases in the wild when we do.
